TUNERPUNK was founded in 2014 by Owen Gray and Brendan Byrne, two Santa Fe local car enthusiasts. In the early days, TUNERPUNK was focused primarily on imports, specifically Japanese sports car platforms. We’ve expanded our horizons a lot since then, but there will always be a place in our hearts for fast JDM garage builds.

The TUNERPUNK mission statement has always been pretty simple, and one of our primary values has always been
FIX YOUR OWN SHIT. That means simply that we believe in learning to maintain and modify your own stuff yourself, instead of paying someone else or relying on someone else to get your project where it needs to be.

From doing your own maintenance to swapping an engine, we believe that with the right tools and the right preparation, you can accomplish just about any cool mod you can come up with, and we strive to live up to that belief as much as possible.

Since 2014, TUNERPUNK has kept its membership low and super tight-knit. All of our members are long-time friends which is great, but we’re always on the lookout for new pals, so if you’re interested in being a TUNERPUNK, give us a follow or drop us a line!
