Terms of Service

Before placing your order, please carefully review Bee’s Knees Print Studio’s Terms of Service.

With the approval of layout & invoice, along with your arrangement of payment or terms you agree to BEE’S KNEES PRINT STUDIO’s Terms & Conditions.

TURNAROUND TIMES
BEE’S KNEES PRINT STUDIO (BKPS) operates on a standard 10 business day turnaround time. During peak seasons turnaround times can vary, and if necessary a more accurate turnaround time can be provided before finalizing your order. If you need your garments in hand by a specific date please notify BKPS before you submit your payment or finalize your approval. Turnaround times begin when payment has been received (unless another arrangement has been made) and do not include shipping times. Payment can only be received after an invoice has been received. Once a payment is received, mock-ups for your order will be generated, and upon approval of those mock-ups no further changes can be made to the layout / invoice, so please double-check your mock-ups and invoice before finalizing your order.

PAYMENT
Payment in full is due upon receipt of any invoice provided to you. Your order will not be placed in line for production until full payment has been received unless previously approved by BKPS directly. Payments can be made with any major credit card via the standard invoice provided, PayPal’s secure payment system, via PayPal directly, or with cash or check with prior approval. Once payment is received, garments are ordered immediately. In the event that a payment must be reversed or an order is cancelled entirely, BKPS will retain a restocking fee no greater than 35% of the cost of garments ordered that will need to be returned to the supplier. Any refund issued will reflect any billable hours completed by BKPS during the processing of your order, including but not limited to: graphic design time, art preparation, screen preparation, garment handling, test printing, and any other tasks deemed appropriate for billing by BKPS.

OVER / UNDER RUNS
All orders are subject to a 3-5% underage in any print run. BKPS will not be held liable for an underage in a completed run within the 3-5% allowance. In the case of an underage exceeding 5% BKPS will reprint the needed garments or issue a full refund for their value at our discretion. Due to these allowances BKPS highly recommends that the client orders extra garments for each size. Additionally, BKPS reserves the right to retain, dispose of, sell, donate, or otherwise repurpose any item printed that does not meet our quality standards. Misprints, Print Lottery test prints, defective garments, sample garments, or any other item printed or handled during the production of your order that does not meet our production standards will be retained and disposed of or distributed at the discretion of BKPS.

GARMENT DEFECTS
All garments are sewn by hand in factories all around the world. BKPS does not produce any garments in house. Therefore, BKPS will not be held liable for manufacturer defects such as holes, stitching, sizing issues, and/or dye color inconsistencies.

BKPS attempts to remove any defective garments before printing and completion of an order, but can occasionally miss a garment’s defectiveness. If it is found that defective garment was delivered, BKPS will issue a refund for defective garments upon receipt of returned defective garments or receipt of a photo or photos that indicate a defect in the garment as long as the percentage of affected garments is over our standard 3 to 5% overage/underage allowance. The client will be responsible for return shipping if applicable. If the defective garments cannot be returned, BKPS will issue a credit of an equal amount of the defective garment to the client’s account. BKPS does not offer reprints on defective garments, unless the defect is present on 5% or more of the total order.

GARMENT STOCK
BKPS does not stock any blank garments. Therefore, BKPS cannot guarantee stock levels of any specific garment from BKPS’s wholesalers. If you need to see the garment you’re ordering before finalizing your order, BKPS can provide blank test garments at full retail price. If you choose to proceed with those garments, the sample garments can be added in to your order as long as they are received by BKPS before your scheduled production date.

BKPS will not be held liable if stock issues cause a delay in an order and therefore jeopardize completion in an agreed upon delivery and/or due date. In the case a garment is out of stock or discontinued, the client will be notified immediately and provided with alternative options for replacement garments, or given a refund for the quantity of garments that are out of stock at the discretion of the client. No refunds or credits will be offered in the event that BKPS fails to meet a deadline unless specific written authorization from BKPS is received before your invoice is paid.

CUSTOMER SUPPLIED GARMENTS
As the printing industry is very spoilage prone, the inherent risk run by having the customer supply their own items for printing is that some of those items may be damaged in the printing process. And as customer supplied items, they cannot be replaced once spoiled, and the spoiled items will not be refunded or reimbursed for. A markup will be added to each line item based on quantity to offset the labor involved in sorting and testing customer supplied garments.

Thus, the recommendation for anyone desiring to supply their own items, is to supply 1-3 test garments per line item, as well as 3-10% additional items from what the desired end product count would be. Any additional items provided for spoilage mitigation or test printing need to be identical to those in the majority of the run in order to ensure that any spoilage does not affect the desired outcome, in the rare chance that it occurs.

BKPS will not accept any supplied garments without prior approval, and will not be held responsible for any underage due to a lack of provided garments or items to account for misprints and damages. BKPS does not apply impressions to garments that have been worn, washed, or used unless specifically agreed upon terms are in place before invoice payment. If BKPS determines that provided garments have been worn, washed, or used, we reserve the right to cancel your order and apply a 30% cancellation fee to your invoice.

INVOICE / LAYOUT APPROVAL
Unless other arrangements have been made, you will receive a mock-up of the items in your order before it is finalized. These mock-ups are simply to demonstrate the visual layout of your items and should not be considered 100% accurate in terms of garment or print colors, but more as a general guide of the appearance of your items.

It is the client’s responsibility to review and approve layouts and invoices for correct print size, placement, spelling errors, shirt style(model number), manufacturer’s’ specified garment color, ink colors and quantities. BKPS reserves the right to advance the delivery or production date for your order by one business day per business day that mock-ups have been received and are not approved.

BKPS will not be held liable for any errors in approved layouts and invoices. If errors occur that do not match an approved and finalized layout and invoice, BKPS will reprint the order to match the approved and finalized layout and invoice at no cost to the client. If reprints are necessary, BKPS reserves the right to deny requests for changes to any graphics previously approved during the process of your order.

COLOR MATCHING
BKPS uses a Pantone approved mixing system to mix Pantone ink colors, which are then compared to the Pantone Solid Coated color book. Due to the nature of screen printing, BKPS cannot guarantee 100% color accuracy when printing with plastisol, waterbased, or discharge ink.

Further, BKPS will not be held liable if Pantone hues vary slightly on dark or medium colored garments with an underbase white or no underbase white and when printed on white or light colored garments. BKPS will also assume no responsibility for inconsistent Discharge results on any garment, regardless of origin, due to the inconsistent nature of Discharge printing on dyed fabrics, unless the inconsistency is due to an oversight or error made by BKPS during production.

Due to the nature of lighting, differences in digital displays, and color shifts during production, BKPS will not refund or replace any item printed with a custom mixed pantone value specified by the client.

PRINT PLACEMENT
BKPS will print every order in standard print placements unless specified by the client. It is the clients responsibility to provide a specific print placement and dimensions. If no specific print placement or dimensions is provided, BKPS will select a standard size and placement for your mock-up. If revisions are necessary, a specific final measurement for width and placement will be necessary to proceed.

Print placement may vary by up to 0.25″ and may vary based on size differences in print runs to adjust for placement on larger or smaller garments. Non-centered artwork (such as left or right chest prints) will be printed in positions dependent on sizing of garments and may vary.

BKPS will not be held liable for placement of printing if a print placement was not specified by client. If non-standard placements are being applied, BKPS will verify placement before production via verbal or written communication.

FINAL PRODUCT INSPECTION
BKPS inspects and approves all garments and prints before shipping or delivering them to you. Because BKPS retains all misprints and test prints, all items in your order should meet our quality standards, or be specifically marked to indicate a misprint or defect. We provide a 5 calendar day inspection period to identify any misprints, garment defects, mistakes, or damages. If you have had your order for more than 5 calendar days and have not contacted BKPS to discuss refunds or replacements, BKPS will not be held liable for any misprints, garment defects, mistakes, or damages, and refunds, returns, or exchanges will not be accepted.

Finalization of payment will be considered as verification of the terms outlined above. Once payment is finalized, production will begin almost immediately so changes to these terms, items on your order, or any other details involved in your order will no longer be possible once payment has been received.
