Client Spotlight - Giraffalope
Giraffalope is one of Bee’s Knees Print Studio’s most regular clients. She makes the most adorable art, but she also does amazing work on Kickstarter funding incredible custom projects for her followers and her Patreon supporters. We’re talkin’ pins, stickers, backpacks, plushies, and so many more amazing things that will warm your heart whether you like it or not!
Because she’s based in Canada, unfortunately Bee’s Knees has never had a chance to hang out with Giraffalope in person, but we hope to someday! Until then, we’re stoked to be cranking out cute art on high quality garments that'll get shipped up north and sent all over the world! Check out her links and give her a follow, she’s the best!
Apeshit.
This may look like a two color print, but we’ve added a second black screen for the halftones to ensure that we’re mitigating dot gain as much as possible while still really putting down an opaque black outline. This image is one of our favorites, so every time reprints are ordered we’re excited to get started! We’re big fans of halftones at Bee’s Knees, so this is right up our alley.
Shooting Stars.
When Girafalope hit us up with this image we were over the moon! This is a fairly simple three color design, but the execution required some ink magic to allow the blending of colors you see here. These are super cute tees on some super soft Next Level blanks, and we’re so happy that we were able to make them work!
Not Right Now.
I’m not gonna lie, this is one of my favorite tees, maybe ever. All three colors are custom Pantone matches, and we love the composition as well. We think it’s super important to highlight mental health, and sometimes you gotta just burrito up and take a day off.
We’re super happy with how these came out, and they seem to sell out pretty darn quick so it looks like a lot of other people dig them too!
