The first step is to get in touch! You probably already got that part figured out, but there it is. Send Bee’s Knees Print Studio an email with your artwork, or fill out the Quotes page and we’ll be in touch to collect any information you might have.

Things that help include:
Finished artwork and/or ideas for finished artwork.
Quantities you need.
Budget requirements.
Deadlines.
Other various project related details.

Once we’ve collected some details, we’ll figure out what you’d like to put your cool prints on. This could be a t-shirt, a hoodie, some pants, a patch, flatstock, or something else entirely! We’ll figure it out together!

Knowing things like what fabric types, fits, styles, and colors you’re looking for will make this process a lot faster, so hit us with all the info you’ve got!

Now that we’re all settled on how you want your cool new shirts to look, we’ll send a mock-up that gives you a nice visual representation of print placements, sizing, and colors.

These will be dang close to the final product, and they’re your last chance along the way to make revisions, so make sure you’re happy with them! If you have any questions, comments, concerns, or changes you’d like to discuss, now’s the time!

This next bit is all on us. We’ll split your artwork into individual screens. These are called “color separations,” and each one represents its own film, screen, and impression. Normally on dark garments we’ll drop a white base underneath your top colors to make sure they’re really poppin’, kind of like putting a layer of primer down before your final paint coats. We’ll also be making sure each Pantone color in your image is available, and if it’s not we’ll mix it up for you in house.

Production time, everyone’s favorite! We’ll print each and every one of your cool new shirts by hand, and send them down the dryer to cure. Once production is finished, each shirt is stacked by hand and checked for quality, folded, stacked, counted, and packed up nice and snug.
We allocate about 10 business days for this part of the process. That gives us time to order and receive garments, do test prints, and get your stuff printed up.

Last but not least, let’s get those shirts on their way! If you’re a local, you’re already eligible for free delivery wherever you’d like, so we’ll be in touch. If not, your stuff will hop on a truck and get delivered to whatever door you tell us is best for you. We’ll generally opt for UPS Ground, so unless you’ve got your own shipping method or account, that’s what to expect. You’ll get a tracking number when your stuff leaves our hands, and it’ll be there just as soon as possible!

And that’s it! Of course there will be a few bits and bobs here and there, but that’s the basic breakdown of what’s going on with your order at Bee’s Knees Print Studio.

Now that you know how easy it is to get some awesome new shirts to sell to all your pals, why don’t you click this little button and get started?
